News: Sedan driver fatally collides with motorcyclist in Brighton

SEATTLE, WA – A driver struck and killed a motorcyclist at Rainier Avenue South and South Willow Street on Thursday, according to KIRO 7.

A 29-year-old man was riding a motorcycle north on Rainier Avenue South at high speeds while weaving in and out of traffic when he collided with an eastbound black sedan at the intersection with South Willow Street around 10:30 p.m. 

First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. 

A Drug Recognition Expert determined the woman driving the sedan was not impaired. 

Crews shut down the area to process the scene following the crash. The area was cleared by 1:41 a.m. 

The Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
