News: Seattle PD closes 16th SW & SW Kenyon after vehicle crashes into pole 

SEATTLE, WA – Seattle Police had to temporarily shut down the intersection of 16th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Kenyon Street on Thursday after a vehicle crashed into a pole. 

The West Seattle Blog first reported the incident at 8:14 p.m., and first said the collision was blocking the southbound lanes of 16th Avenue Southwest. 

Police and fire crews, who were already at the scene, requested the presence of two tow trucks to remove the impacted vehicles, which appeared to be a blue pickup truck and a white car. 

The pickup truck had no noticeable damage, but was touching the pole. The white car also did not seem damaged, but had an open driver’s door. 

Police shut down the intersection so tow truck crews could remove one or both vehicles, and reopened the area at 9 p.m. 

Police have not specified the events leading up to the collision, but did confirm no one was injured.
