News: Rollover crash blocks two eastbound lanes on West Seattle Bridge

SEATTLE, WA — A rollover collision Friday afternoon closed two left lanes on West Seattle Bridge near Seattle’s Industrial District, according to West Seattle Blog.

The accident took place on the eastbound lanes approaching the 1st Avenue South exit. It was first reported by WSB at 1:00 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the crash, but a photo taken at the scene shows a blue passenger car overturned on its side. At least one Seattle Fire Department truck responded.

By 1:24 p.m., the high-rise bridge camera indicated SFD crews had cleared from the scene, suggesting no major injuries. A traffic backup had built up in the area.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the Seattle Department of Transportation announced all lanes had been reopened to traffic.
