RENTON, WA – According to Komo News, Renton Police confirm that two suspects were involved in an injury hit-and-run crash that happened on Wednesday.
This is an update in connection with our story about a motorcyclist injured in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 405. Renton Fire crews later said he was hospitalized for a leg injury.
Washington State Patrol said the collision happened after 5 a.m. on the interstate’s southbound lanes near Sunset Boulevard. WSP determined that one vehicle drifted into a motorcyclist’s lane. The motorcyclist noticed the approaching vehicle and swerved out of his lane to avoid a crash.
The motorcyclist ended up losing control of his bike, hitting a puddle, and crashing into a barrier. The impact of that crash ejected the motorcyclist from his bike, and then his foot was struck by a second vehicle.
The two drivers immediately fled the scene and are “wanted on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.”
