MONROE, WA – Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in which an unmarked police vehicle struck and killed a 26-year-old Monroe woman on Tuesday morning, Fox 13 Seattle reports.
The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 2 at Kelsey Street just before 7 am. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, but eventually died of her injuries.
The driver of the unmarked police vehicle was an employee of King County Sheriff’s Office, according to Monroe police.
