News: Police investigate deadly 2-car crash in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – The Seattle Police Department’s traffic collision investigation squad is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred at 4th Ave and Pine St on Friday, according to FOX 13.

A 23-year-old man was driving an SUV west on Pine St at high speeds when he ran a red light and slammed into a northbound white sedan around 12:40 a.m.

Emergency crews extricated the SUV’s driver and his 24-year-old male passenger from the vehicle. They performed life-saving measures on the two men before pronouncing them dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the sedan were not hurt in the collision.

Following the wreck, crews shut down the area so detectives could investigate the incident.
