News: Pierce County crash leaves 2 dead

PIERCE CO., WA – Two people died as the result of a single-vehicle collision near Gig Harbor on Saturday, KIRO, reports.

The accident took place near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and 40th Street Northwest in the city of Artondale.

Investigators believe the driver lost control of their vehicle and collided with a telephone pole before striking two trees and traveling down an embankment. Both occupants, individuals in their 20s, were killed as a result of the crash.

The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
