News: Person killed in bicycle collision in Yelm 

YELM, WA – A person lost their life to a bicycle collision that took place on State Route 702, east of State Route 507 onThursday, Fox13Seattle reports. 

The cyclist was struck by a vehicle around 6:30 p.m. Preliminary details from Washington State Patrol reveal that the person was cycling west on eastbound SR 702 when they were struck by the vehicle. 

The cyclist came to rest on the right shoulder. EMS crews conducted CPR on the cyclist. Despite their best efforts, the cyclist died from their injuries at the scene. 

Officials shut down the road for a couple of hours to accommodate the scene clean-up process.
