News: Person hospitalized following pedestrian collision in Edmonds 

EDMONDS, WA – A person was hospitalized following a pedestrian collision that happened in Edmonds on Friday. 

According to Kiro7, the person was struck by a vehicle while walking on Highway 99 North, just north of 244th Street Southwest. 

The collision happened around 5 a.m. and warranted a quick response from EMS crews, who took the pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of serious injuries. 

Seattle police confirmed the driver remained at the scene and did not exhibit any signs of impairment. 

Officials shut down the area for a few hours for the scene clearance process and have reopened all lanes since.
