News: Person hit, killed by car on I-90 near Snoqualmie Casino

KING COUNTY, WA — One person died Monday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 90 in southwest Snoqualmie, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

Washington State Patrol troopers were called to the scene on the westbound lanes at milepost 27, west of Snoqualmie Casino, at about 9:00 p.m.

Authorities said the victim was walking in the fourth lane of the westbound interstate when they were hit by a car driven by a 27-year-old. Troopers arrived to find the pedestrian laying in the center median.

The driver, who remained at the scene, was not reported hurt.

At this time, the WSP continues to investigate. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the fatal event.
