RENTON, WA – Officers with the Renton Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision resulting in serious injuries on South Grady Way in Renton on Monday evening.
According to the official Twitter page of the Renton PD, the accident occurred at the intersection of South Grady Way and Shattuck Avenue South.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Renton PD are onscene of a veh vs ped accident by Shattuck Av S/S Grady Way; ped has serious injuries & will be transp to local hospital. Investigation is underway; WB Grady & Shattuck will be closed for an extended period of time. Take alt routes. /clm

The pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police investigated the scene while the westbound lanes of S Grady Way and Shattuck Ave were shut down for a long period of time.
