KENT, WA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car while crossing the East Valley Highway in Kent on the afternoon of Christmas Eve, the Seattle Times reports.
According to authorities, the accident occurred in the 18200 block of East Valley Highway around 5:24 pm. A 42-year-old Auburn man was attempting to cross the highway when a southbound Volkswagen struck him.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle but later died of his injuries. The death was ruled an accident.
