News: Pedestrian killed in SR-167 collision in Renton

RENTON, WA — A pedestrian has died Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle along state Route 167 in Renton, according to KOMO News.

The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of SR-167 north of South 180th Street at around 6:00 a.m.

State troopers and medics arrived to find the pedestrian dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

The pedestrian was reported to have been in the roadway when the crash occurred. Trooper Rick Johnson said the driver was not found impaired.

Traffic was diverted around the site of the crash and caused a long backup.

No other information has been reported.
