SKAGIT COUNTY, WA — A 53-year-old Everett man died Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on State Route 9 near Big Lake, according to KGMI.
The Washington State Patrol said the fatal incident took place on the northbound lanes at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Details are limited, but authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a northbound vehicle whose driver fled the scene without stopping.
The victim died from his injuries at the scene, confirmed WSP.
As of this writing, investigators have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
