News: Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in East Queen Anne area

SEATTLE, WA — A 21-year-old man died early Monday after being hit by a vehicle on Aurora Avenue North in Seattle’s East Queen Anne neighborhood, reports KOMO News.

Seattle Police responded to the scene in the 1600 block of the road at about 3:15 a.m.

The circumstances behind the event remain unclear at this time, but officers were alerted of a person in the roadway. Authorities said the driver had fled the scene by the time first responders arrived.

Medics rushed the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

At this time, the Seattle Police Department has not released a description of of the fleeing vehicle or the suspect driver.
