SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A pedestrian crash involving a bus Wednesday morning near northeast Lynnwood claimed the life of a 34-year-old man, reports KOMO News.
The incident took place on State Route 99 (Pacific Highway), just north of 156th Street Southwest, in Picnic Point-North Lynnwood. All southbound lanes of the highway were shut down until about 8:26 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the man was wearing dark clothing and was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was fatally struck by the bus.
First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
An investigation by the Washington State Patrol remains underway.
