News: Pedestrian hit by vehicle near Valley Medical Center in Renton

KING COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle near Valley Medical Center in Renton, according to KIRO 7 News.

The crash happened at the intersection of Talbot Road South and South Carr Road. It was first reported by Renton Police Department at 7:16 p.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but witnesses told investigators the pedestrian appeared to cross the road against traffic.

Police said the victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Authorities asked the public to avoid the area during the response.

An investigation into the incident was underway.
