News: Pedestrian fatally hit by vehicle on Pacific Hwy S in SW Kent

KING COUNTY, WA — A 59-year-old man died last Friday night after a pedestrian crash on Pacific Highway South in southwest Kent, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The fatal incident took place at the intersection with South 272nd Street. Kent Police and medics responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at around 8:15 p.m.

Witnesses said the victim, who was not in a marked crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle that was turning into the eastbound lanes of South 272nd Street.

First responders administered life-saving measures to the male pedestrian, but the victim, a Federal Way resident, died from his injuries at the scene.

The driver remained after the crash and cooperated with authorities.

An investigation remains underway, but police said neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected factors.
