News: One hurt in multi-vehicle wreck on SR-99 near Seattle’s South Park

SEATTLE, WA — One person was hospitalized Friday morning after a multi-vehicle accident on State Route 99 near Seattle’s South Park neighborhood, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes of SR-99 approaching the First Avenue South Bridge at about 4:30 a.m.

No information has been reported on the events leading up to the crash, but five vehicles were involved, and seven people were evaluated at the scene.

Authorities confirmed one person required transport to a hospital after being extricated from a vehicle. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed, but they were said to be in stable condition.

The event caused long delays for early morning commuters, but shortly after 6:00 a.m., the scene was cleared.
