News: One driver hospitalized, another arrested following collision on SR-509 in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA – According to KIRO 7, Washington State Patrol say one driver is recovering in the hospital and another was arrested following a collision on State Route 509 in Tacoma on Wednesday night.

According to Trooper Ryan Burke, the accident involved two cars and occurred on SR-509 near the Interstate 705 interchange around 8:20 p.m.

One of the drivers suffered a broken leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The other driver, a 40-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault.
