TACOMA, WA – According to KIRO 7, officials have provided more details concerning the deadly semi-truck collision in Tacoma on Tuesday.
A 22-year-old was driving a semi-truck north on Interstate 5 near South 84th Street when they slowed for traffic, swerved, and slammed into a light pole in the center median around 4:40 a.m.
The truck then caught fire and came to rest in the northbound lanes.
Traffic was snarled for over five miles following the deadly semi-truck collision.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
