News: North Bend man dies in crash involving big rig near Snoqualmie Pass

NEAR SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA – A North Bend man was killed in a crash involving a big rig that took place near Snoqualmie Pass around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Washington State Patrol told KOMO News that the North Bend man was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck when he crashed into a barrier on I-90 West. His pickup truck partially blocked the interstate’s far right lane. A short time later, a big moving rig crashed into the pickup truck. 

The pickup truck driver did not wear a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene. He has since been identified as 18-year-old Conner Nugent.  

The big rig sustained notable damage, but the driver themself was uninjured. 

Troopers do not suspect impairment was a contributing factor in the crash.
