News: Multi-vehicle wreck shuts down SR-512 EB in Puyallup

KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities were called to a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on State Route 512 in Puyallup, according to KIRO 7 News.

The accident impacted the eastbound lanes near South Meridian, just north of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 5:30 a.m.

Little information has been released at this time, but all eastbound lanes in the area were closed in the immediate aftermath. Traffic was forced to get by on the shoulder for nearly two hours.

At 6:41 a.m., tow crews had arrived on the scene, but due to the nature of the crash, a longer clearance time was anticipated. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes.

By 7:30 a.m., all lanes were reopened to normal traffic.

As of this writing, it remains unclear whether anyone was seriously injured.
