News: Motorist airlifted following rollover crash near Sequim

SEQUIM, WA – A 69-year-old man was injured following a single-vehicle rollover collision on US 101 near Sequim on Friday, the Sequim Gazette reports.

The man had Emergency responders were called to the scene of the crash at 10:35 a.m. They believe Siegrried Rombs had been driving east when he lost control of his vehicle and sent it into a ditch on the right side of the roadway. The vehicle overturned and then came to a rest on its wheels.

Rombs was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle by helicopter. No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

Traffic was interrupted in both directions as crews worked the scene.
