News: Motorhome overturns in multi-vehicle wreck on I-5 near south Everett

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was seriously hurt Wednesday afternoon as a motorhome overturned during a crash on Interstate 5 in south Everett, reports KIRO 7 Seattle.

Everett Fire Department crews responded to the scene on the northbound interstate just past the State Route 526 and Boeing Freeway interchange, at about 12:00 p.m.

Few details have been disclosed, but officials said a passenger car and a motorhome were involved. Firefighters had to extricate two occupants from the motorhome, which rolled over and left a heavy volume of debris on the roadway.

One patient from the camper was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Two left lanes and the left shoulder were blocked in the immediate aftermath. Northbound motorists faced a two-mile backup as crews worked to clear the scene.
