News: Motorcyclist struck by pickup truck in Belfair

BELFAIR, WA – A motorcyclist is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck in a Belfair neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

According to KMAS, the accident occurred along SR-3 as 50-year-old Steven Covert was making a left turn out of his driveway and was struck by the oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, 27-year-old Kyle Eaton of Lakebay was transported to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

No one in the pickup truck was hurt. However, Covert has been cited for failure to yield.

The precise location of the crash is not mentioned in the report.
