News: Motorcyclist left seriously hurt, hit-and-run driver arrested after alleged road rage crash near Lynnwood

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was seriously injured Tuesday evening when they were struck by a vehicle while operating a motorcycle on State Route 525 near Lynnwood, reports KOMO News.

The Washington State Patrol said the incident took place on the northbound lanes of SR-525 at SR-99, at about 5:30 p.m.

Very few details have been shared, but officials believe road rage prompted a driver to strike the motorcyclist with their vehicle and flee the scene.

Shortly after the incident, responding troopers were able to locate the fleeing driver north of the crash scene, in the area of SR-525 and 112th Street.

The suspect, who was not suspected of intoxication, was taken into custody. The WSP said he faces charges that include serious injury hit-and-run.

No information on the condition of the victim has been made available at this time.
