News: Motorcyclist killed, driver arrested following Tukwila hit-and-run

TUKWILA, WA – One person is dead, and another is in police custody following a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred at the I-405/I-5 interchange early this morning.

According to local media reports, a van hit a motorcyclist on the southbound I-405 off-ramp to southbound I-5 at approximately 4 a.m. The van’s driver drove off without rendering aid. The motorcyclist died in the collision.

Troopers with the Washington State Patrol caught up to the van on South 188th Street and arrested its driver. Investigations into the collision are ongoing, and charges may soon be filed.

WSP has not released any identifying information regarding either individual as of this posting.
