News: Motorcyclist injured in collision on SR-821 near Ellensburg

KITTITAS COUNTY, TX — A 58-year-old man was hospitalized late Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle accident on State Route 821 near south Ellensburg, according to KPQ.

The crash occurred on the northbound highway about 11 miles south of the city, at around 4:30 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but officials said he was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle northbound when he veered into the opposing lane and struck a guardrail.

Medics rushed the victim to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. No updates on his condition have been released as of this writing, but the Washington State Patrol said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

An investigation into the cause of the accident was underway.
