SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Thursday night after being struck by an SUV that fled that scene on Interstate 5 in Arlington, according to KOMO News.
The crash happened on a stretch of I-5 southbound at the merge to state Route 530 north of the Smokey Point rest area.
No information has been reported on what led up to the crash, but Washington State Patrol said the motorcyclist was struck by a black SUV whose driver remains at large.
The rider was taken to a hospital with serious injuries not considered life-threatening.
Troopers described the causing vehicle as being similar to a Rav 4 with damages sustained on its passenger side.
