News: Motorcyclist dies after high-speed crash at east Bremerton intersection

KITSAP COUNTY, WA — One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident involving a truck at an east Bremerton intersection, according to Kitsap Sun.

Deputies with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at Trenton Avenue and Helm Street shortly after 1:30 p.m.

An early investigation found the man was riding a motorcycle northbound at a high rate of speed when they lost control and laid their bike down. Officials said the motorcyclist slid about 150 feet across the roadway before hitting a truck.

Despite life-saving measures from deputies and Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews, the victim died from his injuries at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the event.

A section of the road was shut down for multiple hours as an investigation was conducted.
