News: Motorcyclist crashes on I-405 offramp in Renton while fleeing WSP

KING COUNTY, WA — One person was arrested Thursday night after crashing their motorcycle on an Interstate 405 exit ramp in Renton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The wreck occurred on the ramp from I-405 northbound to State Route 169, near Henry Moses Aquatic Center. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson at 8:48 p.m.

Few details have been disclosed, but authorities said no pursuit was in effect when a motorcyclist tried to flee troopers and crashed on the exit. It was not immediately clear why the suspect was fleeing, but they were arrested felony eluding following the incident.

The WSP did not say whether the rider was injured in the crash.
