News: Motorcyclist airlifted for injuries after multiple-vehicle collision

OLYMPIA, WA – A motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital after an accident involving multiple vehicles on State Route 8 on Saturday.

Washington State Patrol District 1 posted on Twitter the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of State Route 8 at Winslow Drive around 5:35 p.m.

The motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries, including broken bones. WSP reported that the driver was in critical but stable condition. A passenger on the motorcycle broke their arm in the crash.

No injuries were reported in the other three vehicles involved in the crash.

It appears in the photo attached to the tweet that the motorcycle may have crashed into the bed of a pickup. WSP also reported the the motorcyclist was observed driving at high speeds just prior to the crash.
