GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 42-year-old Tacoma man who was reported missing Friday night died in a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle near Wynoochee Valley, reports KOMO News.
The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the man was found deceased Saturday morning at about 9:30 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the victim was camping in the area when he left the site on an ATV quad. He appeared to have traveled off an embankment and strike a tree after failing to negotiate a turn.
Officials suspect the victim, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, may have been intoxicated.
