MARYSVILLE, WA – Marysville police suspect impairment was a contributing factor behind a single-vehicle accident that damaged a home’s basement on Sunday.
The driver, who was suspected of impairment, was driving when they drifted off Sunnyside Boulevard and crashed their vehicle into a home’s basement near North 50th Street, according to Kiro7.
The driver was left with unspecified injuries and sent to a hospital for treatment, while the home occupants were uninjured.
Firefighters reinforced the house to prevent it from collapsing, but as it stands, the home’s structural integrity has been compromised. There’s no word on where the home occupants will go after the damage.
