News: Man seriously injured in electric scooter accident near Capitol Hill

SEATTLE, WA — A man in his 50s suffered serious injuries late Tuesday afternoon in an electric scooter crash near Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, reports Capitol Hill Seattle Blog.

Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the scene at 19th Avenue and East Madison Street shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Details remain limited at this time, but officials said the man was riding the scooter when he struck a curb at the intersection.

First responders found the man unconscious and with “heavy trauma” to his head. The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The intersection was blocked off during the emergency response.

No updates or other details have been shared at this time, but Seattle Police was investigating.
