News: Man seriously injured after motorcycle crash near Enumclaw

ENUMCLAW, WA — A Federal Way resident suffered serious injuries Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near Enumclaw, according to Federal Way Mirror.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) responded to the incident near the 196th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 146th Street intersection at approximately 3:42 p.m.

The 47-year-old man was on an eastbound course when he abruptly steered his motorcycle to avoid traffic slowing ahead. As a result, the man hit a road sign and was ejected from his bike.

WSP said the rider was not wearing a US Department of Transportation-compliant helmet at the time of the crash. No drugs or alcohol were suspected.

He was transported by airlift to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His current condition has not been reported.
