PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A man suffering a medical emergency Thursday night struck multiple vehicles in a wrong-way crash in South Hill, according to KIRO 7 News.
A Pierce County deputy had seen the man traveling southbound in the northbound lanes along Meridian Avenue East prior to the multi-car crash at the 176th Street East and Sunrise Boulevard East intersection.
Authorities said the man struck several cars and then crashed into another vehicle head-on before his vehicle stopped.
No serious injuries were reported, according to a Washington State patrol trooper.
The incident left both northbound and southbound lanes along Meridian Avenue East closed.
An investigation is still underway.
