News: Man hospitalized after rollover crash on 44th Ave W in Lynnwood

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 65-year-old man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after a rollover accident involving a retention wall in Lynnwood, according to Lynnwood Today.

Lynnwood Police Department said the accident occurred near 44th Avenue West and 164th Street Southwest at around 1:30 p.m.

The man was driving north on 44th Avenue West when he lost control of his car, causing it to overturn and strike a retention wall along an apartment complex.

Medics transported the driver to Swedish Edmonds Hospital with serious injuries. His condition remains undisclosed.

No other occupants were in the car, and no other injuries have been reported.

44th Avenue West was shut down between 164th Street Southwest and 168th Street Southwest in response to the crash.

An investigation was underway to determine whether high speed was a factor.
