News: Man hospitalized after hit-and-run scooter crash in west Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A 46-year-old man suffered injuries Tuesday night when he was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Seattle’s Junction neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

The incident happened in the intersection of 45th Avenue Southwest and Glenn Way Southwest shortly before 10:00 p.m.

Firefighters and police arrived to find the victim responsive and suffering from a possible fracture. A neighbor who works as a nurse practitioner was able to evaluate the man before medics arrived on scene to administer aid. The man was then taken to a local hospital where details of his condition have not been released.

No information has been released by officials confirming details about the causing vehicle, but one neighboring witness recalled a 1990s blue sedan dragging its bumper as it fled the scene.
