News: Man hospitalized after being hit by vehicle on West Seattle Bridge near SoDo

SEATTLE, WA — A 30-year-old man was injured Monday evening due to a pedestrian crash on the east end of the West Seattle Bridge, according to West Seattle Blog.

The incident occurred on the westbound side of the bridge, on the Spokane Street Viaduct section east of the 1st Avenue South ramp. By the time it was reported by WSB at 7:47 p.m., two westbound lanes were blocked as emergency vehicles arrived on the scene.

Preliminary details indicate a male pedestrian was either standing or walking in the roadway when he was hit by an unspecified vehicle.

Seattle Fire Department officials confirmed the victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

No information on the driver or striking vehicle has been released.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reopened.
