News: Man arrested in Bothell after overturning stolen car with puppy inside

KING COUNTY, WA — A 24-year-old man was taken into custody last Friday evening after stealing and crashing a car in north Bothell, according to KOMO News.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said the robbery occurred at the Thrasher Corner shopping center at about 5:45 p.m.

According to authorities, a Cavapoo puppy was inside an Audi A4 when the suspect stole the vehicle from another man at gunpoint.

Using the Audi app, officers were able to locate the stolen car in a nearby neighborhood. As the suspect attempted to flee from police, the Audi collided with two squad cars and then a parked car, which caused the stolen vehicle to roll onto its roof.

The suspect was apprehended and booked into Snohomish County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including “first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, eluding and malicious mischief.”

No injuries were reported in the incident, and the Cavapoo was recovered and returned to her owner unharmed.
