News: Man arrested for throwing objects on seven cars over I-90 in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A 41-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening after seven vehicles were reported to have been hit by thrown rocks and debris on Interstate 90 westbound in Seattle, according to Trooper Rick Johnson with Washington State Patrol.

WSP troopers responded to the string of reports on the stretch of I-90 westbound near Rainier Avenue North at around 4:00 p.m.

A man believed to be responsible for the incidents was taken under custody. No other identifying details about the suspect was released.

Images shared by Trooper Johnson show damages on the windshields of two of the seven vehicles impacted that day.

Tuesday’s incidents follow a recent uptick in similar events involving objects thrown over I-90, including a case reported just two days earlier. Several past incidents have also resulted in injuries.
