GRAND MOUND, WA – A 67-year-old man lost his life to a fiery rollover collision that took place on Interstate 5 on Wednesday, KOMONews reports.
Washington State Patrol said a car crashed, overturned, and caught on fire before 7 a.m. The impact of the collision led the driver to succumb to his injuries.
Moments later, a big rig crashed into the fire truck that was at the scene of the aforementioned crash. Fortunately, the driver and the fire truck personnel were uninjured.
Officials closed two lanes to accommodate the scene clean up process and overall investigation, leading to significant traffic delays. Lane closures were lifted by 8 a.m.
