News: Man, 41, loses life to pedestrian-truck crash in Port Orchard 

PORT ORCHARD, WA – A 41-year-old man from Silverdale was killed in a pedestrian-truck crash that happened in Port Orchard on Tuesday, KomoNews reports. 

The Silverdale man was walking in the area of Bethel Road Southeast and Southeast Van Skiver Road when he was struck by a truck. 

Kitsap County deputies pulled up to the scene after 11 p.m. and said the pedestrian died from his injuries a short time after he was hit by the truck. 

Deputies conducted a field sobriety test on the 24-year-old male truck driver, who they said showed no signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

A full investigation is underway.
