News: Male pedestrian, 56, loses life to hit-and-run crash in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA – A 56-year-old pedestrian lost his life to a hit-and-run crash that occurred around 10:15 p.m. in the Ballard neighborhood on Wednesday. 

The pedestrian was struck by the hit-and-run suspect in the area of Northwest 73rd Street and 15th Avenue Northwest, according to Fox13Seattle. First responders later confirmed he did not use a marked crosswalk. 

Seattle fire and EMS crews rendered aid to the pedestrian upon arrival. Despite their best efforts, he died from his injuries at the scene. 

Seattle police believe the suspect was operating a silver sedan and sustained front-end damage as a result.
