News: Log truck overturns in multi-vehicle wreck on US-101 near Olympia

THURSTON COUNTY, WA — A multi-vehicle crash involving a log truck caused part of U.S. Highway 101 to shut down near west Olympia, reports FOX 13 Seattle.

The Washington State Patrol said the accident happened near Mud Bay Road Northwest. Shortly after 7:00 a.m., a section of the highway was blocked in both directions.

It was unclear what caused the wreck, but a log truck spilled its load onto the roadway as it overturned. Authorities did not specify how many other vehicles were impacted.

By 10:45 a.m., all southbound lanes had been announced reopened, but the northbound highway remained closed as crews continued to clear the scene. Traffic was being detoured onto Evergreen and southbound May Road Northwest.

It was unclear whether anyone was injured in the crash.
