News: 6 injured in rollover crash on SR-18 at Tiger Mountain Summit

TIGER MOUNTAIN, WA – Authorities say a crash involving a suspected drunk driver on State Route 18 Friday morning left six people injured, KOMO reports.

The accident happened in the area of Tiger Mountain Summit at about 6:15 a.m. The Washington State Patrol said a 39-year-old Federal Way woman driving a Ford Expedition lost control and hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to roll across all lanes of SR-18.

The driver, an adult passenger and a 21-month old child were ejected from the vehicle. Three other children were still inside when first responders arrived.

The six were transported to Harborview Medical Center, but no details were immediately released on the extent of their injuries.

State troopers reported that the driver had an obvious odor of intoxicants but had not yet been fully evaluated.

SR-18 was shut down for hours in the area due to the crash investigation.
