News: Injuries reported in five-vehicle collision on I-5 SB in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — Minor injuries were sustained Wednesday evening after a collision involving a semi-truck and four other cars in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Tacoma, according to Trooper Robert Reyer with Washington State Patrol.

State troopers, Tacoma fire crews, and officials with Washington State Department of Transportation responded to the scene on the highway near Delin Street at milepost 133. The incident was reported by WSP at 8:13 p.m.

The accident caused three right lanes to become completely blocked and motorists were warned of delays in the area.

At this time no information has been released on the number of people injured or the cause of the crash.
