News: Injuries reported after hit-and-run on Shilshole Ave in Ballard area

SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was injured early Friday evening in a hit-and-run collision near Ballard Terminal Railroad in northwest Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported on a span of Shilshole Avenue Northwest near the terminal. Officers with the department’s North Precinct responded to the scene after receiving a call at around 5:13 p.m.

Little information has been shared at this time, but emergency dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision with injuries. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of this writing, the SPD has not confirmed the number of people hurt or the extent of their injuries.

No information regarding the fleeing party or the suspect vehicle has been released.
